MOVEMENT
The Island Art Center is a unique school in the community teaching art, music, and movement. Through core level development in all disciplines, we nurture and inspire the whole person. Emphasis is placed on the seeds of creative action. Classes are offered to students ages Four and up. The environment of our classrooms is one of teacher/apprentice. Today's newest student will become tomorrows mentor to younger students. Through this ritual transmission of information and practice, students become part of the teaching process. Classes are kept small to provide the best form of study and teaching. Growth is measured in process, skills developed with time, and confidence built daily.

We are entering our 10th year in the Bainbridge community and feel grateful when we meet new students and humbled when we see our first graduates (2001-02) entering high school. We are honored you have supported our vision for the last 10 years and look forward to the next decade providing alternative enriching education choices for an ever changing world.

Thank you
