Sue Steindorf
Yoga Instructor and Licensed Physical Therapist
Sue is a pediatric physical therapist certified in Neurodevelopmental treatment and she has extensive training in Sensory Integration Therapy. Sue has worked as a physical therapist in pediatric hospitals and in the Bainbridge Island School district since 1988. Teaching children a wide range of fitness activities and working with children with special needs as a pediatric PT has been a source of joy and discovery. It is this work that led Sue to Sonia Sumar, creator of Yoga for the Special Child. Children have an amazing capacity to understand and appreciate the deeper dimension of yoga and it never ceases to amaze Sue how they are transformed by each class. She weaves asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), creative movement, mindfulness teachings, sacred sounds, chanting, relaxation and meditation into her classes.
Sue is a licensed yoga instructor and is in the process of completing RYI certification with Integral Yoga. In addition she did the basic level training with Yoga Fit to build a strong foundation in the physical aspects of teaching Hatha yoga. Yoga has become a way of life for Sue and she loves to share this path with others helping people reach their potential while discovering the peace that yoga inspires.

Sofia Montoya
Yoga Instructor
Sofia began her self-study of yoga a decade ago as she sought to expand her own horizons. While living in Alaska in 2002, she decided to share her love of yoga, and was trained as a yoga instructor by YogaFit. In subsequent years with YogaFit, Sofia completed the 200 hours of training required to become a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance in 2006. At the same time, Sofia also became certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), after attending the Port Townsend School of Massage. Her massage practice has proven to be a natural complement to her yoga practice, deepening her understanding both of the human body and the mind/body connection. Though trained as a Hatha yoga teacher, Sofia is also influenced by her experience practicing Kundalini, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Bikram yoga. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Energy Practitioner, and former counselor, she enjoys creating classes that are focused on holistic healing and body/mind balance. Having been educated in a wide spectrum of pathologies, Sofia enjoys helping people break through the physical and mental limitations that keep them from experiencing happiness and contentment.
Greg Bowles
Yoga Instructor
Greg feels very strongly that yoga can be a positive tool for building strength, flexibility and awareness and enjoys providing the clear and inspiring guidance to help others do so. Greg was mentored in his yoga practice by Iyengar-trained Theresa Elliot and Katherine Payne of Pacific Yoga in Seattle. With a corporate background and a degree in philosophy, Greg has a special blend of skills to complement his yoga certification. Greg went to college first overseas in Portugal and Germany through the University of Maryland while serving in the Navy as a CTR in those countries having completed his pursuits of self study and philosophy at the University of Toledo. Greg has always gravitated toward individual sports and plays tennis, loves to swim and hike, run and bike, but also enjoys a good game of chess and almost any other activity that stimulates more "presence." In fact, it is the tenets of self-mastery that brought Greg to yoga originally, and he prides himself on emphasizing present-moment mindfulness in each and every one of his yoga classes or private sessions, as he helps individuals dissolve both physical and mental limitations of fully experiencing the "now."
